MAAT T&C’s

 

  • Entry to MAAT is via a completed entry form and an online video submission. 

  • Payment Information will be sent out as soon as we receive an entry form. Your competition spot will not be confirmed until the entry fee has been received. Your place will be reopened if payment is not received within 48 hours. 

  • Entry fee for one category is £20.

  • If you wish to enter two categories, your entry fee will be £35.

  • If you wish to enter three categories, your entry fee will be £50. 

  • Entry fees are non-refundable

  • Payment details will be sent in your confirmation email. 

  • Online entry video will be judged by 3 independent judges

  • Online video entry routine length is up to three minutes. Please be aware that if your routine exceeds this limit, points will be deducted. 

  • Upload your video entry to YouTube and then send a link through email to be judged. You can set your video unlisted or public (NOT private).

  • Name your video link: MAAT 2024, Semi-Finals, Full Name and Category.

  • Competitors may enter more than one category, but be aware that performances may have a short interval between sections during the Live Final.

  • Please note that each category must have its own entry form.

  • Be aware that we won’t be able to run your category if there are not enough entries, in which case you will be entitled to a full refund on entry fees.  

  • The entry period for MAAT begins February 1st, 2024 and closes on 31st March 2024. Finalists will be announced on the 14th April 2024. The live Final will be on 19th May 2024. 

 

 

  • If you qualify for the Finals, you agree to attend and perform 

  • Live Finals will be held in East Midlands

  • Please ensure that competitors are entered into the correct category. If you are found to be ineligible for the selected category, you will be disqualified. (For further information, please see the competition rules and regulations) 

  • You understand and give permission for MAAT to video and take pictures of you throughout the competition and grant rights for MAAT to use images and videos for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Transport, accommodation costs and all living expenses incurred while attending the Live Final will NOT be reimbursed by MAAT. 

  • All aerial equipment will be provided by MAAT. (Please see competition rules and regulations for more details) 

  • Competitors must be fit to perform and must warm up accordingly prior to their performance. Competitors must not be under the influence of alcohol/drugs during the Live Final. 

  • MAAT reserve the rights to disqualify any competitors they believe to be acting unprofessionally and have breached any of these terms and conditions. 

  • Live final performances must not exceed 3 minutes. There will be a 10 second buffer period, however if your performance exceeds this period you will be disqualified. 

  • Your choice of music must be cut to the correct length for your routine, and sent over to MAAT via email by the *INSERT DATE (TBC)* if we do not receive your music in time, you may be disqualified. 

  • We do not allow any profanities, excessive vulgarity or offensive material within your music choice. 

  • Judges have the right to stop your performance if it is considered unsafe or inappropriate in any way. 

  • By participating in the Midlands Aerial Arts Tournament, you fully understand the risks of aerial and acrobatic performances, and at all times are responsible for your own safety.

  • If you have any questions regarding your scores and/or feedback, please email us at midlandsaerialarts@gmail.com. However, please be aware that Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be negotiated. 

  • MAAT reserve the rights to change the structure of the Live Final if required.
